Quality Assurance Inspector

Perform in process and final inspection of a variety of materials and assemblies in all stages of the manufacturing process using drawings, specifications and other related documentation. Perform process and product audits.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Core functions are italicized)
Accurately inspect a variety of PCBA's Printed Circuit Board Assemblies with the aid of the specified documents.
Perform inspection of product using naked eye and/or magnification ranging from 3X to 10X as required.
Document non-conformances and review responses for adequacy.
Perform process and product audits. Use measuring devices.
Participate in the data entry, maintenance and report preparation associated with Databases maintained by QA.
• Perform inspection of major repairs to both through hole and SMT printed circuit board assemblies such as: track repair or replacement, wire (jumper) adds, SMT pad replacement, through hole pad and barrel replacement, track cuts, printed circuit laminate.
• Interpret specifications logically to evaluate product for customer acceptance.
• Use MIS system for work order update. Accurately complete error-logging forms.
• Work cohesively in a team environment.

• Equivalent to Grade 12 and 2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and understand BOM - Engineering Bill of Materials, MPI - Manufacturing Process Instruction, ECN - Engineering Change Notice, MAA - Manufacturing Assembly Aid, IPC Acceptance criteria such as IPC-A-610, WHMA-A-620, etc.
• Ability to read and understand Company FDA training for Operators, C=0 Acceptance Sampling Plan, MIL -STD 105 Sampling plan, Customer Quality Specifications.
• Recognize and identify a variety of electronic components from industry standard markings and packaging.
• perform incoming inspection by accurately verifying all material for correct value quantity and all parameters indicated on the work sheet, job file or drawing.
• Basic PC Knowledge
• Ability to work in a team environment
